At the Foot of the Volcano
We will enjoy this unique landscape among numerous Rosalillos de Cumbre, Retamas del Teide, Hierba Pajonera, and even the flight of a hawk above the sea of clouds and the Valley of La Orotava. It is also a good place to observe the transition from the Canary Island pine forest to the scrub of the high mountain.
The Essentials
• This route consists of circling a beautiful volcanic cone, the diameter of Montaña del Alto Guamazo, passing through its crater and back to Portillo.
• We want to highlight this route because it has just been adapted for people with reduced mobility, as one of our objectives is the enjoyment of nature for everyone.
